Your Agreement with Univyze
Welcome to Univyze Inc. (“Univyze,” “we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, academic planning tools, and related services (“Services”).
By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Univyze.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
1.1 Minimum Age
Users under the age of 18 may use the Services only with parental acknowledgment or consent. By using Univyze, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements.
1.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- All activity that occurs under your account;
- Ensuring your profile information is accurate and up-to-date.
Sharing accounts is prohibited. Each account is intended for use by a single student. Parents or guardians may only access a student’s dashboard if explicitly granted permission.
2. Parent Access
Parents may access a student’s account only when the student grants permission. Students may revoke this access at any time through their profile settings or by contacting support.
3. Description of Services
Univyze provides academic planning tools, including but not limited to:
- Automated plan generation;
- Class mapping and scheduling;
- Degree requirement visualizations;
- Multi-major/minor planning;
- Early graduation forecasting;
- Progress analytics and milestone tracking;
- Optional messaging and support tools.

4. Not Academic Advising (Important Disclaimer)
Univyze provides algorithm-generated recommendations based on user-provided data. We do not provide official academic advising, and our suggestions may not reflect school-specific policies or changes.
You acknowledge that Univyze does not guarantee:
- That your university will offer a course during a specific term;
- Acceptance of transfer, AP, IB, or study-abroad credits;
- Fulfillment of every program requirement;
- On-time graduation, early graduation, or graduation at all.
You are responsible for confirming degree requirements with your official academic advisor or institution.
5. Payments, Billing & Refunds
5.1 Payment Processor
Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Your use of Stripe is governed by their Terms and Privacy Policy. Univyze does not store or process full payment card numbers.
5.2 Subscription Options
Users may choose automatic renewal or manual renewal options, depending on their subscription tier.
5.3 Refunds
Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase and only if the service does not meet its stated objective. After 7 days, all sales are final.
5.4 Price Changes
Univyze may update pricing at any time, with advance notice provided to active subscribers.
6. Messaging System
Support messages are stored for approximately 1 month unless a user chooses to retain them longer. Univyze team members may review messages for support or abuse prevention.
7. User Conduct
By using Univyze, you agree not to:
- Share or sell academic plans to other students;
- Exploit, manipulate, or attempt to distort planner outputs;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy planning algorithms;
- Circumvent subscription restrictions;
- Use one account to create plans for multiple students.
Accounts found in violation may be limited, suspended, or permanently terminated.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, code, algorithms, design assets, branding, and platform materials are the property of Univyze Inc. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, resell, or exploit any part of the Services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Univyze is not responsible for graduation delays, missed prerequisites, incorrect course selection, or academic outcomes.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” You agree that your use of Univyze is at your own risk.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Univyze, its employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims arising from your misuse of the platform, violation of these Terms, or content you input into the system.
11. Termination
Univyze may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
13. Modifications to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via email or in-app notices. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
